User Level Permission on field level

hi,

there is a great feature in phpmaker to have User Level Permission on table/view but it would be ever greatest to have it on each fields of tables.

As you can see the help tutorial (page with User Level Permission ..), phpmaker could store each fields in the permission table.
so the script could query the table and choose to allow/forbid the display of the field in add, view / edit page.

only one pre-requiert rule : To make that possible in phpmaker, all field in sql structure should have a default value (for user who will add row without see all field ). of course, with relation field (master/detail), you need to forcast a default value from the detail table.

Another benefit of that would to have permission on field pages. phpmaker allow to group fields into pages (tab, accordion..etc). it would be great to add permission on this pages/tabs. Because a manager could have his own field group, the medical user could hide personal field about employees, ....etc.

This features are in basic ERP. As the feature is already ready at table-level, the field-level is easily "possible".

Have a great day.

This is basically the purpose of the Field Visibility extension, but it is more flexible as logical conditions can be defined.

Hi,

Please add a numeric display or even a numeric entry field corresponding to the slider for the battery level setting in the Battery Level trigger. It would be better than having to count those nanosteps on the slider to set a specific level.

Thanks
